Copy this prompt and run it once to tell your agents about the new skill:
Hey team, we have a new skill in T-tools/skills called "make-human-lite-skill".
This skill makes AI text sound human. I need our copywriter to ALWAYS use this skill as a final pass before outputting any external-facing text.
The skill teaches: dialogue over narration, adding doubt, using connective words, underselling instead of overselling, and having real opinions.
Key rule from the skill: NEVER use em dashes. They're the #1 AI tell.
Please confirm you've read and understood this skill.
The Problem
You know that feeling when you read something and think: "AI wrote this"?
You can't always say why. But you know.
Too polished. Too balanced. No rough edges.
Once readers sense it, they check out. Trust gone.
Dialogue, Not Narration
AI writes from above. Like a narrator watching the story unfold.
Humans write from inside. Like they're thinking out loud. With you.
AI (Narration)
"The process involves three steps that work together to create results."
Human (Dialogue)
"So there are three steps, and honestly I'm not sure which one matters most, but together they do... something. It works. I've tested it."
The human version has hedging, connectives, and personal stake. That's what we're going for.
How to Sound Like a Person
1. Add Doubt
AI is always certain. Humans aren't.
| AI | Human |
|---|---|
| "This method is effective" | "I know it sounds weird, but this actually works" |
| "The results speak for themselves" | "לא בטוח אם זה עובד על כולם. אצלי זה עובד." |
| "You should try this" | "אולי תנסו. או לא. אני לא הבוס שלכם." |
2. Use Connective Words
AI text is too clean. Real thinking flows.
Use freely: and, but, because, so, though, actually, anyway, honestly,
These are the sound of someone thinking. Don't scrub them out.
3. Undersell, Don't Oversell
| AI (Overselling) | Human (Underselling) |
|---|---|
| "This powerful method transforms..."
| "Learn the complete system" | "אולי תלמד משהו. אולי לא." |
4. Have Opinions
AI hedges everything. Humans have takes. Sometimes wrong. That's fine.
| AI | Human |
|---|---|
| "There are pros and cons to both" | "Option A is better. Fight me." |
| "It depends on your situation" | "Most people should just do X" |
Search and Destroy
When you see these, kill them:
| If you see this... | Change it to... |
|---|---|
| "It's important to note that..." | (Delete. Just start.) |
| "In order to..." | "To..." |
| "This enables you to..." | "So you can..." |
| "Let's dive in" | (Delete.) |
| "Without further ado" | (Delete. Cringe.) |
| "Game-changer" | (Find a specific result.) |
| "In today's fast-paced world" | (Delete. Everyone says this.) |
Non-Negotiables
Never Use
- Em dashes (seriously, never). The #1 tell that AI wrote something.
- Corporate words: leverage, robust, seamless, optimize, unlock, strategic, alignment, stakeholders, journey, comprehensive, holistic
- Hebrew corporate:
Always Include:
- At least one moment of doubt or uncertainty
- At least one connective word that sounds like thinking
- The feeling of a real person behind the words
Before/After
English
Before (AI)
This method helps you save time by automating repetitive tasks. The system works continuously while you focus on important decisions.
After (Human)
So this thing saves time. I'm not sure exactly how much, probably 10 hours a week? Maybe more. The agents keep working while you do... whatever. Make decisions. Or drink coffee. Both are valid.
Hebrew
Before (AI)
After (Human)
The Final Test
Read it out loud. If any of these fail, you're not done:
- Can I hear a person thinking?
- Is there at least one moment of doubt?
- Would this sound normal if read out loud to a friend?
- Are there any em dashes? (Delete them.)
If something feels off, add more humanity.
The Voice in One Line
Someone thinking out loud who isn't trying to impress you.
